Beck Whelpdale is a resourceful art director with over 15 years of experience in both television and feature film production. Her credits boast an eclectic selection of works that showcase her understanding of function, color, and atmosphere when creating a space.

Beck's passion lies in forming intuitive environments that facilitate the exploration of character while supporting the narrative through imaginative set design, bold color palettes, and a flair for the surreal.

 

Throughout her career, she has collaborated on various projects, including seasons of the BBC show Bad Education, the BAFTA-nominated short film Bus Girl, and award winning independent feature Kindling. Most recently, Beck designed Halloween for the Tower of London, creating interactive sets that merged history with imaginative design, transforming the iconic setting into a captivating experience for visitors to the Historical Royal Palace.

 

As a highly skilled and experienced scenic artist, Beck also works regularly with fashion and homeware brands, including Cath Kidston, Next, and Lipsy, producing scenic displays for both editorials and store installations. Her extensive expertise and creative vision enable her to craft environments that resonate deeply with audiences.
