ANDREA CHENIER
OPERA NORTH
WARDROBE | DRESSING

Andrea Chenier
{Opera}
Annabel Arden's Andrea Chenier was a hauntingly beautiful production, and an honour to be a part of. Arden and designer Joanna Parker explore many themes of the French revolution, from the public's newfound passion for graffiti to the craze of the Tricolore.

The costumes are designed in the sumptuously beautiful 18th-century style, as well as taking inspiration from leading fashion designers of our own era. The bodice of the Contessa di Coigny's dress, for example, is modelled on a jacket by Versace. I had the privilege of dressing the show’s Principle Performers during the production, who each gave thrilling performances, I simply can't wait for next season.
