BAD EDUCATION S4
Art Director

Beck played a pivotal role in creating a strong design aesthetic for season 4. With the return of the beloved show after a 10-year hiatus, the creative team aimed to revamp the style for a new class of students. Beck collaborated closely with designer Declan Price to completely overhaul the visual identity, introducing fresh set designs that captured the humor and energy of the narrative.
One of the unique challenges came from developing Fraser's (Matthew Horne) catalogue of new roles within the school after being fired as headmaster. This required innovative prop-making and character-driven spaces that not only reflected Fraser's evolving role but also provided rich opportunities for comedy and storytelling.

Returning character Stephen, played by Layton Williams as the drama teacher, required a vibrant and exciting space for the kids of class K to explore their creativity. The design for Stephen's classroom was infused with bold colors and playful elements, creating an environment that invited inspiration and engagement.
By crafting these vibrant classrooms and engaging character-specific environments, Beck established a contemporary look that resonated with both returning fans and new audiences, enhancing the comedic elements and enriching the overall narrative.
